SO tonight I went out with some friends to celebrate end of finals and some things. Our friend Ravi (Who I'm having some messed up unrequited severe like for (complete with some cross cultural issues), but that doesn't have to do with the story) invited a friend from his class named SAM.

So, we were talking and it was mostly get to know you chatter, and he asked where I grew up, and the following conversation while not word for word is roughly what happened.

SAM: So where did you grow up then?
Me: Estill Springs, Tennessee, don't worry if you haven't heard of it. It's in the boonies near the Tennessee-Alabama border. Teeny and crappy.
SAM: Sounds like where I grew up in Dubre, Kentucky.
Me: Where's that?
SAM: Cumberland County it on the Tennessee-Kentucky border.

I am staying in the computer lab at school as long as possible because it is a freaking boiler room compared to the weather outside, and I REALLY am not looking forward to biking home.

Tomorrow is my last day of finals and then I am freeeeee! And by free I mean work on my lit premade game. I'm still only 1/4 complete with all of the premade blurbs, but I definitely have ideas for most of them.

I still have to send PSU my updated transcript since I'm not properly linked in their dual enrollment system. >.< I hope they receive it soon so I can register for my classes over there and actually make some headway on my degree.

Tomorrow I have my history final and then drama and I still have to study more for both of them. I love being so last-minute about this stuff. It isn't stressful at aaaaallllll (/sarcasm). Mom wants to watch Julie & Julia tonight so we'll see how much prep work I actually get done before getting up at 7 AM tomorrow to rush to the library with a can of Viso in my hand. History is a multiple choice/long answer/short essay clusterfuck of awesome like the midterm was, but my Drama final is different. We were given a prompt to think about over the weekend and have to write a scene out in play format tomorrow morning with only our books and one page of notes. THAT'S the final I'm worried about. Even with all of the RP I do and have done over the years I don't feel like I'm terribly creative and I don't know if I will do this very well. Tonight is mostly going to be me blocking this thing out and defining what the story arc is going to be.

Which amuses me. I think hers is pretty accurate, though I'm not so very sure that Nate is all that shy or conservative? The top three for what she looks for are definitely there, though- if she were ever to sit and think about that kind of thing. Mostly she just likes people she can have fun with!

Over the course of the weekend, I have reverted pretty much to the age of twelve. And I don't care. I told dad this last night when I picked him up from his truck and he just laughed and said that so long as he and mama don't have to change any diapers, we're good. He's so awesome sometimes.

Today is kind of cloudy and misty; I'm calling the weather of the last few days London weather because it's pretty much the kind of weather I had the entire time I was in London a couple of years ago. It's not really raining but it's cold and kind of gross to walk around in. I can't decide if I like it or not.

The only real homework I have left for this week is my British Empire paper, which should be easy to write up once I figure out exactly what I want to argue for it. Because right now I have a very vague idea and not a lot of substance.

I also hope to finish up Emmeline for 91 today; I just need to write up her history and figure something out for her samples. I think I'm going to enjoy her.

OH! I keep meaning to write up some sort of character update/ramble and keep forgetting to so I want to try to do that today. Or this week, at least. I'm excited for plotty stuff I have going on! :) And this week Oliver at 91 is doing the sponsored shave and he will think it is REALLY WEIRD to not have hair. Other students can feel free to point and laugh.

And this is a not-quite-gratuitous icon post but I have a new default again because ~djinni on livejournal is pretty cool and made me an icon of me as a cartoon and it amuses me because he even got my ridiculous cowlick right in my bangs! It makes me smile.

9th - Constitutional Law; 2pm. 3 hours

14th - Professional Responsibility; 1:30pm. 2.5 hours

19th - Tax; 1:30pm. 2 hours

Take homes: Wills & Trusts; Non-Profit Organizations. 48 hours. Sometime between 9th and 14th.

Time between; consisting of studying and this list. thirdlaw and hoorah should be finished after wed, I believe. I already turned in spacy. Also; add boys in plaid and men in ties to my icons.

Now, onward to the Miller test. Sadly, only about obscenity and not beer. Even though I hate MGD ewjksas.

This guy I grew up across the street from, who is the same age as my little brother and good friends with him, was apparently watching the Nutcracker play that our elementary school did every year with the first graders. The year he and my brother were in it, obviously. This play was seriously lame, with the same dumb script every year, but adorable because every kid in the grade had a part. When I was in it, I got to be a dancing snowflake. When my little brother did it, he was a mouse, and our neighbor friend Dustin was a nonmagical partygoer. (He got to deliver the memorable line, "A cookie is a cookie and a cupcake is a cupcake.") My older brother was a snow guard and stood against the back wall, because there were too many kids and not enough parts that year.

Anyway, Dustin took a couple pictures of the screen and posted them on Facebook. So here is my little brother back in 1992!

In other news, I'm downloading episodes of Meet The Browns because Renee's PB is in it. I already had one episode she's in, and I really like her hair - shoulder-length and curly, and her makeup is more natural-looking than in Bratz. I'm hoping to get some decent icons from it, but the episodes I download aren't really great quality, so I don't know how successful it'll be.

Before I go contemplate screaming into something that'll muffle the sound so as not to make the neighbors think somebody's being murdered over here, I just have a question.

It's interesting to go back and read your characters' profiles after you've been playing them for awhile. There's always something you've forgotten, or that developed differently than you expected. For example, I always seem to forget that my characters have pets. Teddy has an owl named Georgia and a cat named Tom (it was a stray that adopted him). The owl is pretty old, though - he got it his third year, which makes it at least twelve. How long do owls live?

Eric has an owl named Noodles. Mac has Norman, of course, and I rarely forget him. Renee has a Siamese cat with pretty blue eyes like hers. Her name is Cleocatra, but she calls her Cleo. Corrie has an owl which Alex gave her for Christmas last year. She calls him her duck. I was going to have her name him Bruce, but I feel a little uncomfortable with that now. So she never really talks about him, because I'm not sure how to refer to him. (Maybe that's why, though - maybe she named him Bruce after Bruce, and so now she never refers to her owl duck by name because it's confusing and awkward and insensitive, and because she's uncomfortable thinking about human-Bruce anyway.)

Coming from fallenpoint_rpg via fallenpoint_mod, my Lily is lonely and would like some people she knows to show up - she doesn't really know Barty that well, though he's proving to be charming company. I'd prefer a Severus Snape or Remus Lupin, but would also be pleased with a James or a Sirius. Even a Peter, at this point.
